Em's 16th

Lots of fun for our Miss Em's 16th birthday. Sweet friends came out, all dressed to the 9's, to wish her birthday wishes.

YMCA TKD Tournament

The girls did great! I'm so proud of their self discipline and motivation to work hard. All three are learning their forms and pushing themselves to be stronger.

Happy Birthday Party Day!

Their birthdays are not officially until Tuesday, but we partied today! Go-Karts, lazer tag, and lots of noisy arcade games. There was pizza, sugar, and more sugar; everyone came home happy. Happy 14th to Izzie and Bella, my amazing sweet daughters.

Basketball

Andy is playing Rookie Sports Basketball, he is blocking, running and dribbling. He takes it really seriously, but his main focus is hangin' with his buddies on the team. The team name is the Blue Dragon Chiuahuas.

Hawaii

What a beautiful weekend! Sunshine and warm temps lifted our winter blahs! We played at the pool, the beach, then back to the other pool-it made for a hard day's work.

Arrived in Honolulu at 1:30 ish and hit the beach by 2pm ready to work on my tan. Enjoyed a walk through Waikiki before dinner. Dinner was right on the beach at the hotel, tiki torches and ocean breezes.

Early morning power walk for me and run for Michael. We stopped at an art fair on the way back and had breakfast overlooking the ocean- french toast with Coconut Syrup and pineapples, breakfast Mac and Chees and macadamanian nut bread. Pool time, beach time, then back to the pool. Met up with Michael's work friends for a little dinner and enjoyed some Hula music at the Royal Hawaiian.

Sunrise hike to Diamond Head, you have to go early to beat the crowds and heat. About a 45 minute walk to base, then you gotta climb and climb the switchback trail and steep stairs. It was very beautiful and exhilerating. A shaved ice was our treat on the way back. Breakfast at the Hula Grill- Loco Moco is now on my top ten list of favorite comfort foods. A side of Banana Macadamian Nut pancakes topped off the morning. Back to the pool for an afternoon of floating and soaking. Michael got to watch his playoff game with quite a gang of other football fans. He just floated around on his big orange bean bag and watched football-perfect!! A little shopping, then dinner at PFChangs!!

Early breakfast, shopping at the ABC store, YogaAquatics for me (with Mossimo) and run for Michael. One more dip in the pool and then had to head to the airport. It was a whirl of a weekend, but still relaxing and nice to be together.

Happy Birthday!

 







Yeah, a new year awaits us! We rang in the New Year with a Wii party. Surprising we stayed up until 2am dancing to Just Dance 2. Lots of fun and food. Wished Aunt Nene a happy birthday too!

TKD & Tamales

Annabelle and Elizabeth are green! Taekwondo testing this weekend, and now they are green belts. Strong kicks and great form. I am so proud of my girls, they are really having fun. Em is going to be starting in January, she just thought they were having too much fun without her. I've even heard from the little man that he is interested. Don't mess with the Barrett Kids!

Tamales! Hard work, but so worth it. We had a lot of fun making tamales. Found a little Mexican store that has prepared masa, such a time saver! Hoping to make more often. The girls did great with spreading the masa and Andy was the olive boy. The only regret is it took about 3 hours of work for about 20 minutes of eating!!
