Lava Cake and Birthday Party!

Happy Birthday, Michael! We did a prehistoric theme because he is so old now! The lava cake turned out pretty cool, we had smoke and "lava" bubbling out a bit. Not the huge catastrophic volcanic eruption but a little mini. Sister Chris made volcano hats for all of us, too cute!

Happy December!

One more month before 2010! We are getting ready for Michael's birthday- 41 yrs. old! Volcanoes and dinosaurs are part of the celebration this time. The sun is out today, helps with the winter weather weather setting in. But I hear this winter should not be as crazy snowy as last winter, that only happens once every 14 yrs.

What a beautiful day for a birthday! We had a lot of fun at Andy's Sports Birthday Party today-kickball, soccer, playing at the park, and eating lots of sugar!

Soccer!

Andy started soccer today-he did great and had fun! He chased the ball, kicked the ball, and even scored two goals.

Ice Cream HS Social

Met up with other HSers at Baskin Robbins to celebrate "not" starting school this week! Lots of yummy fun!

Blueberries!

Went Blueberry picking today! Beautiful, plump, berries filled the trees. We all had a lot of fun picking early this AM to beat the heat. Making a pie for dessert, freezer jam and freezing the remainder for tasty bites.

Baptized!

The girls all were baptized today at the church picnic. All week they had been praying, thinking, and studying about what baptism meant. They all got to share individually why they were getting baptized and what it meant to them.

Family Fun Week 09

We are celebrating our 3rd annual Family Fun Week- A week long vacation at home to enjoy all the fun stuff right where we live.
Friday- Outdoor concert,frosties, and a thunderstorm
Saturday- Wii Tournament
Sunday & Monday - Camping at the Stilly River
Tuesday - The Zoo and Red Mill Burgers
Wednesday - Movie Day
Thursday- Bowling, then an evening concert to see the Los Pinguos
Friday - Stanley Park, BC
Saturday - Dinner and s'mores at the Roberts

Still to come....Today is Seattle for the Blue Angels at the Rostom's

Michael has Monday off, but we are going to use it as a recovery day, not big outings just a nice day at home. Whew...it has been fun, but I'm pooped!

Camping and the River!

We had a blast camping this weekend at the Stilly River. It was so cool and refreshing just swimming in the river- wish we were still there!

Drama Camp

The girls had a ball at Drama Camp. Annabelle and Elizabeth learned to use puppets, Emily did an advanced drama class, and all three learned how to do the soundboard. It was a weeklong, then on Friday we had a performance. Great job, girls!
Andy loves his piano, he is quite a little maestro.

Jetty Island!

It was a cold and chilly day, out of a week of warm and sunny days, but oh well it was fun anyway. The kids built a fort, played in the sand, and Tina and I just chatted away.
