Half n' Half

We had a sunny/rainy weekend, Saturday was gorgeous, but today was all rainy and we even heard some thunder. Saturday was a zoo day, so much fun! The animals were very active. Afterwards, we hit the park for lunch.

Today we were looking forward to the Arlington Fly-in, but the weather was not very cooperative. We went, but it rained the whole time and they ended up canceling the airshow, oh well, next year!

Chris and babes came up for a visit. Little Abbie is growing so big, and Grace and Andy had fun. Uncle Mikey had some good baby cuddle time.

Fourth of July Weekend

It was such a gorgeous weekend, sunny and warm! We slip and slided, played at the river, went to the Arlington Parade, watched fireworks at the Robbins, and had a little birthday party.

Berry Picking

Went berry picking today at Biringer's in Arlington, WA, just 20 minutes north of us. Sunny, warm, but not too hot. We picked about 20 lbs, and ate almost as much. Andy had a lot of fun eating, Bella was a close second, Emily and Daddy went for the big ones, and Iz and I were into volume.

Making freezer jam and strawberry shortcake this afternoon. Blueberry season is next!

Busy Girls!

I love my girlies! Emily helped out this week at the YMCA with "Splash Week", assisting the swim teachers with lessons. She did really great, and made a lot of new little friends. She wants to use her new skills to help her little brother with his swimming skills.

Annabelle and Elizabeth are quite the athletes, racquetball, Zumba, and working out. I can't believe how tall they are getting-all legs and arms. Very happy they enjoy being active.

Boardman Lake

We enjoyed another fun family hike today up to Boardman Lake. It was a very pretty hike, more like CO than other WA hikes. The lake is an alpine lake, very cold but so scenic. The girls are pros they did great, Andy was a trooper, we had to carry him just a bit of the way.

Hoping to get up there again soon, Michael might even want to camp up there with the girlies- Bella and Izzie said they were up for it, but Em said she would like to stay home for a spa night with Mama!

Lovin' this June Weather!

It has been so nice to be out and soaking up the sunshine. I have been able to get some early morning walks, the kiddos are enjoying neighborhood water fights, and we are having weekend fun outdoors.

This weekend we went to a church home fellowship at the Matthew's beautiful Lake Goodwin cabin. The sun came out and the kids went into the Lake.

Trying to find that balance of fun and homeschooling for the summer. We gotta get outdoors this summer because the rainy months come so fast around here.
