CA Trip II

We had snow on the way down through Oregon and N. CA.

We went to Balboa on Sunday, slightly overcast but very nice. The kids had fun playing in the waves, Izzie made the best sand dog ever, and Andy was so excited to play in the ocean. The kiddos collected a lot of shells, we all got some sun, and really enjoyed such nice weather. I think we got a healthy dose of Vitamin D.

What we're up to.....

We just got back from an impromptu trip to CA. Michael's dad was admitted to the VA hospital, we had a visit in the works for the Fall, but this pushed the timetable. It was a good visit, Michael had good talks with his dad, and he got to see the kids.

We were able to visit the beach, and happily, the weather was very nice. We also got to go to Disneyland, Andy's first. It was fun for all.

It was a whirlwind trip, we are all home and back to our normal groove. We are thankful for the time we got to visit with Grandpa and the kiddos are sending drawings and pictures to let Grandpa know what they are up to.

The Little Mansky

Our little guy keeps us all jumping, laughing, and so happy that we had this little surprise in our lives. He loves his books, writing his alphabet, watching "Little Bear", and playing outside with the neighbor kids.

Swim & Gym

The girls are participating in the YMCA's HS Swim & Gym program. They did it last fall and really have enjoyed the variety of activities the kids get to do. Next week I'm going to be teaching a Zumba class for the kids-we'll see how it goes.

Foggy Days

We have had the strangest foggy days lately. It is cold and thick, sinking deep into your bones. At least there is no rain or snow, we do get to see the sun occasionally.

We've got back into our groove, and boy is it busy. The girls are doing the YMCA Swim and Gym, I'm teaching Zumba, Andy is learning to read, and Michael is working hard booking rooms-anyone need conference space?!

Next month promises to be even busier- we are going to participate in our first Homeschool Co-op and I'm adding one more Zumba class. It will help make the grey days zoom by!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009!

Happy New Year to all. We stayed up until midnight playing Wii, Scrabble, and watching the Twilight Zone. Andy made it until 10:30pm! Starting at 9pm Pacific we called family and friends in each time zone. We hope everyone had a fun celebration.

This morning we are enjoying our traditional New Year's Day festivities- Donuts and the Rose Parade. It may be rainy here in WA, but it is nice to see sunshine in Pasadena.
